The mess we call Rotterdam Central Station

It's the first of the month again and this month's theme is: Something that is about to disappear SOON.
How I wish that was true about our CS (especially the part in capitals ;)
I think one of my first posts was about the nuisance it was and it hasn't changed much.
Sure these projects need time.
But please, please.

Want to see what is about to disappear in the other Daily Photo Cities?
Hurry!

When I used to travel to Rotterdam a few years back, all the lamp posts had signs to the nearest macdonalds - 100m this way, 250m that. I'm quite pleased to see those have disappeared

Yes I remember your first post about this -- reminds me of those lovely Dutch pancakes -- my mouth's watering at the thought.

I am always amazed at how slow a project is when I want it and how fast a project is when I don't.

Oh, I hear the pain in your voice about this! How exasperating. Great before shot. Hold out for a lovely "after."

I am sure that the people in charge of this "mess" are regular visitors to the daily photo community, no doubt they will have seen your post and do something!!

Demolition is so fast - construction is so slow. But at least (hopefully) they are doing it right.

Dutchie, your Crown Prince doesn't seem to be having a good time over here. But the Mrs seems charming. I wonder if Eelco went to meet them when they spent 5 minutes at the airport yesterday. (They were in the region for 7 hours, apparently.)

Thanks for that. As a point of interest, I usually avoid having posts in my shots so as not to cut them in half, but you have some many in this one shot, it looks fabulous! Well done.

@ Meg Nakagawa:

That was completely rude.
A trait we're quite known for...
But a crown Prince should know better: he's been trained all his life to be overly polite. But he's got a history of stupid remarks and behaviour...
